Play Therapy/Children and Adolescent Therapy
Kimberly enjoys working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of difficult emotions. She works with kids struggling with self-regulation, Autism, ADHD, suicidal ideation, anxiety, anger and aggression. She uses play therapy and age-appropriate techniques to help children and adolescents express themselves during therapy. She also enjoys helping parents and guardians as they come to workable solutions and good outcomes in their homes for their children.
Neurodivergent therapy is useful for those who have ADD/ADHD, OCD, Tourette's, learning differences, and those on the Autism Spectrum. Kimberly and Jared enjoy working with these individuals by creating a greater self-awareness and using practical skills to make everyday life easier.
Depression and Anxiety
Kimberly and Jared both gained much of their early experiences working in acute care hospital settings. While Kimberly sees children 3+ and adults, Jared focuses on those 18+.
Perinatal Mental Health
Depression, anxiety, OCD and other mood disorders can onset during the perinatal period, not to mention the transitions in the family. Kimbelry has specific training in this area to help families conquer the mental health challenges and transitions that often occur during the perinatal period
Divorce, separation, and going between two homes can be incredibly challenging for parents and children. Kimberly enjoys working with children and families to come up with creative solutions as they navigate what is often a tricky time. Jared works with adults on an individual basis as they navigate separation and divorce.
Kimberly and Jared are both EMDR trained and also utilize other trauma focused techniques to work through trauma in whatever capacity you have experienced it. Kimberly is able to use EMDR with children. EMDR can be a useful tool and treatment for many things that cause disruption in a person's life.
Kimberly is certified in Prepare-Enrich for those who are seeking to get married. For those seeking help as a couple to prepare for marriage, enrich their marriage, or co-parents to strengthen their relationship and communication. She is a level 1 PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) trained clinician.
